Research and development
Our highly qualified team from the research and development department provide answers when it comes to new analytical issues and client requests. If you need test findings for which there is no officially recognised or accredited methods, we can quickly develop new analysis methods and integrate them into our range of services. Our flexible accreditation of the test laboratory allows us to incorporate test methods into the accredited scope within clearly defined limits.
Our quality assurance system involves regular auditing of our tried and trusted analysis methods for potential optimisation with respect to sensitivity, workflow, sample throughput, and time. Valuable input into these processes is provided by our active participation on various committees, including the specialist groups of the German Chemical Society (GDCh), as well as DIN working groups, and for the official collection of test methods pursuant to Section 64 LFGB.
Methods that were developed and validated in-house
- LC-MS/MS determination of pantothenic acid, biotin, folates, inositol, nucleotides, carnitine, acrylamide, solanine/chaconine, glyphosate, AMPA, glufosinate, tropane alkaloids, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, cannabinoids, and softeners
- LC-LC-GC-MS/MS determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH)
- LC-GC coupling for analysing sterols and mineral oil hydrocarbons
- Multimethod for simultaneous determination of vitamins B1, B2 and B6 in baby food using LC-MS/MS
- qPCR for determination of legionella (differentiating between living/dead)
- Permeation test (migration testing of packaging materials)
- GCxGC-TOF coupling for identifying unknown components.
Always ahead of the game
The challenge of constantly providing clients with new and innovative solutions is met by our fundamental research activities. We acquire public funding for research projects in fields which are very much the focus of current research, and then successfully implement them with partners from universities, public and/or private research facilities, as well as partners from industry. The results of this collaboration often shine a light on future trends, which can then be used to benefit our clients.
