Quality management and accreditation of our test methods and assessment competence
We have documented specific goals, responsibilities, processes, and tools for internal quality assurance and continuous improvement of our services in our Management Manuals. Crucial elements in this context include staff qualification, method validation, and equipment qualification, as well as conducting regular internal audits and participation in capability testing.
The basis for quality-conscious work at the Institute is created by the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 for test laboratories and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for inspection bodies, as well as a number of internal standard work instructions. The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) reviews practical implementation of these requirements in regular audits.
The test methods used for the investigations (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) have been validated. The scope of the possible tests can be found in the Appendix to the accreditation certificate (Reg.Nb.: D-PL-17609-01-00). Other methods that are part of our range of services, but which are not explicitly listed, are also accredited if they belong to one of the flexible working areas.
The inspection centre (Reg.Nb.: D-IS-17609-01-00) accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 provides a number of matrix-based inspection concepts alongside current literature sources for professional assessment of food, water, as well as pet food.
