As an independent service provider, Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH is a partner you can depend on when it comes to analysis and safety/quality testing of foodstuffs and animal feed, cosmetics and food utensils, medicinal products and water, including process water, bathing pool water, and waste water. Our highly qualified, interdisciplinary team offers solution-based, expert support in overcoming problems concerning product quality and safety – from A for allergen management to Z for z-test. Our accredited test laboratory offers a comprehensive range of physical and chemical, microbiological, molecular and biological, and sensory methods. Equipped with high-tech apparatus, we also use a wide range of instrumentation for analysis, including a number of multimethods.

If available, we work according to official test methods, e.g. according to official collection pursuant to Section 64 LFGB, methods of the German Institute for Standardisation, or of the European Pharmacopoeia. If there are no recognised methods, our established and validated (in-house) methods will be used. Our highly qualified team from the research and development department can provide answers to your analytical conundrums.

Our accredited inspection centre offers expert analysis and assessment, including labelling inspections, of Foodstuffs, Animal feed, Food utensils, Cosmetics and Water. Our services also include hygiene management with sampling and labelling inspection, in food retail and wholesale, in gastronomy, in catering businesses as well as in production facilities.
