The work of the inspection centre essentially comprises analysing test results, client care and sample management, as well as verifying that hygiene requirements are also being met. With this first accreditation, the German Accreditation Agency (DAkkS) confirms that the inspection centre is a capable partner for carrying out expert inspections and analyses of packaged, pre-packaged and loose foodstuffs and pet food, as well as inspection of labelling and determining whether it complies with certain particular and general requirements. The inspection centre is also accredited for carrying out hygiene inspections, including sampling and labelling inspection in food retail and wholesale, industrial kitchens, gastronomy, in catering businesses as well as in production facilities for foodstuffs.
With this first accreditation of the inspection centre to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004, the Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH sets new qualification criteria. And in what is now our fifth reaccreditation of our test laboratory since 1991, the scope of our tests has been successfully expanded. Our accreditation status in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is valid from January 2013 to December 2017.
Thanks to our first accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004 and reaccreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the independent service company that is the Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH starts the new year with lots of motivation!
