We have many years’ experience identifying all types of foreign bodies (fillings, teeth, dental posts, stones, metallic materials (nails, tacks etc…), insects, plastics, bones, wood) and much more.
For example: Identifying a foreign body as a fingernail
After performic acid and hydrochloric acid decomposition in a microwave, the foreign body is analysed using HPLC on a reverse phase with precolumn derivatisation and fluoroescence detection.
