As an independent service provider, the Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH carries out a wide range analyses, spanning chemical, physical, physical/chemical, microbiological, molecular biological and sensory tests. The materials examined range from foodstuffs and animal feed to cosmetics and food utensils, right up to mineral water and bottled water. The testing procedures are accredited and some of them are also officially certified. These analyses are carried out according to official test methods (ASU, DIN, SLMB, AOAC, DGF, IOCCC, IFU, VDLUFA, European Pharmacopoeia etc) or, where these methods have imperfections, according to established, validated, (in-house) laboratory methods, using the most modern analysis technology.
Furthermore, the accredited inspection centre the Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH also offers expert analysis and assessment of foodstuffs, animal feed, utensils that come into contact with food and water, including inspection of labelling. In doing so, we take into consideration the relevant current legal requirements and publications. We also carry out hygiene inspections, including sampling and labelling inspection, in food retail and wholesale, in gastronomy, in catering businesses as well as in production facilities for foodstuffs.
