The European Food Safety Authority has revised its risk assessment for bisphenol A and published a draft new scientific opinion on Dec. 15, 2021. In it, it proposes a significant reduction in the tolerable daily intake (TDI). While the TDI was previously 4 µg/kg body weight per day, it is now a factor of 100,000 lower.
